Legal Engineer

Location: On-site in New York City, USA

Salary: $225K – $325K OTE, with equity and bonus opportunities

What you will do

• Act as a thought partner to general counsel, compliance officers, and fund formation partners to scale platform adoption across funds and jurisdictions.
• Own client relationships from pilots to firm-wide onboarding across legal, compliance, and investment operations teams.
• Represent asset management users internally to inform product development and strategic direction.
• Deliver product demos and training tailored to diverse legal and compliance audiences.
• Document best practices and develop scalable playbooks for global growth.
• Help clients navigate AI impacts and regulatory requirements in asset management and transaction workflows.

Requirements

• On-site presence in New York City, USA
• Law degree (JD or equivalent) with 3+ years in private funds, M&A, compliance, or asset management roles.
• Strong understanding of fund lifecycles, regulatory landscape, and asset management operations.
• Tech-curious and product-savvy with ability to engage in technical conversations including AI.
• Excellent communication skills across legal, compliance, and technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple client relationships and deliver quality results in a fast-paced environment.
