Software Engineer Level II (.NET)

Location: Remote, USA

Salary: $70,000–$75,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain customer and employee applications.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot issues from support tickets.
• Gather requirements, assess application impacts, and recommend implementation approaches.
• Review and develop SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and indexes for standards compliance and performance.
• Build Web APIs to expose application data and implement required software architecture or infrastructure.
• Collaborate with developers and management to report progress and escalate issues.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional .NET development experience.
• At least 3 years of experience designing and building software applications.
• Computer Science, IT, or a related degree, plus professional experience.
• Fluent English required.
• Experience with software development methodologies, release processes, ORM tools such as Entity Framework and ADO.NET, and token-based API authentication and authorization.
• Ability to develop, document, test, manage, and maintain system changes on demand.

Nice to have

• Contract-first Web API and OpenAPI experience, including security.
• Elasticsearch and PostgreSQL experience.
• Automated testing, continuous integration, and SonarQube experience.
• Kubernetes, Kafka, Docker, and microservices architecture experience.
• Experience with CQRS, DDD, or Event Sourcing.
