Senior PM – Enterprise Business Risk and Controls (Risk and Controls)

Location: McLean, Virginia, United States

Salary: $70–$75 per hour

What you will do

• Support planning, coordination, and execution for enterprise controls optimization and first-line change governance initiatives.
• Manage work plans, timelines, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, action items, and metrics.
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions and focused working sessions to gather input and drive alignment.
• Monitor workstream status and prepare executive-ready reporting and communications.
• Document process flows, governance models, operating roles, responsibilities, and decision points.
• Identify inefficiencies, support process redesign, and help drive initiative rollout and implementation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of related program or project management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• Experience with program governance, operating models, planning, schedule management, risk and issue management, and reporting frameworks.
• Experience managing large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, collaboration, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to influence without direct authority and communicate effectively with executive leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with risk management, controls, governance, or regulatory remediation initiatives.
• Familiarity with first-line and second-line operating models and enterprise risk frameworks.
• Experience documenting process flows and supporting governance process redesign.
• Experience in financial services or another highly regulated environment.
• PMP or equivalent project/program management certification; experience with Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae is strongly preferred.
