Summer Associate - Retail Performance Improvement (Summer 2027)

Location: Boston, MA office, United States; travel to local and non-local client sites may be required up to 80%.

What you will do

• Analyze financial and operational data to identify cost savings, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Support business cases, forecasts, and value capture models.
• Conduct market, competitor, and operational research across retail and consumer sectors.
• Prepare clear, client-ready presentations and written deliverables.
• Contribute to diagnostics covering supply chain, merchandising, store operations, labor, pricing, and omnichannel performance.
• Partner with consultants and client teams on project workstreams and deliverables.

Requirements

• Progress toward a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, analytics, engineering, supply chain, operations, or a related field.
• Expected graduation date between December 2027 and July 2028.
• 0–2 years of prior work or internship experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong Excel skills are required; familiarity with PowerPoint is expected.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems, analyze data, communicate insights, collaborate, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.6 or higher.
• Experience with SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or other analytical tools.
