Equipment Technician

Location: New Orleans, LA, United States; onsite

Salary: $15.00–$16.00 per hour

hirify.global Management Services provides facility and hospital support services, including medical equipment cleaning and disinfection.

What you will do

• Safely clean and disinfect medical equipment using approved disinfectants.
• Read par sheets and maintain required inventory levels for hospital departments.
• Transport equipment with a pushcart and maintain the assigned work area.
• Respond to phone calls and emails from hospital staff and provide professional customer service.
• Follow hospital policies, infection control processes, safety procedures, and daily work schedules.
• Report incidents and hazardous conditions, support the shift lead, and cover staffing shortages when needed.

Requirements

• No specific education requirement.
• Completed safety and task training certification.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to read inventory forms, instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment care, cleaning compounds, and safe chemical use.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, use personal protective equipment, and work safely as part of a team.
