Materials Manager (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Marietta, Georgia, United States

Salary: $95,000–$105,000 per year, plus performance-based bonus opportunities

What you will do

• Lead the Materials department and maintain a strong safety- and customer-focused culture at the plant.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, OSHA, DOT/FRA, and DHS standards and regulations.
• Coordinate raw-material receipts and product shipments with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Sourcing, and Procurement teams.
• Maintain raw-material and finished-goods inventory targets and manage on-site warehouses.
• Oversee accurate, efficient, and timely warehouse shipping and receiving.
• Hire, train, develop, and manage employees while controlling department costs and maintaining SAP parameters.

Requirements

• College degree in business or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in Materials Management or logistics.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused role.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Extensive SAP experience, especially with warehouse-related transactions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Forklift or industrial truck experience.
