IT Architect (Platform Architecture)

Location: On-site in San Jose, California, US, with remote work available up to two days per week.

Salary: $130,500–$195,750 annual base salary

What you will do

• Own the architecture and service strategy for the Software Development Environment supporting HMI and Brion.
• Define target architectures, technology roadmaps, reference architectures, governance standards, and architectural decision records.
• Design scalable, multi-tenant managed services using Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, SonarQube, Artifactory, and Engineering Workplace Services.
• Establish cloud-native and DevOps patterns for Kubernetes, AKS, GitOps, Argo CD, Helm, Terraform, CI/CD, and platform engineering.
• Set standards for DevSecOps, software supply chain security, SBOM management, observability, reliability objectives, and compliance.
• Provide architectural leadership and collaborate with engineering, security, enterprise architecture, cloud, and platform stakeholders across global teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Solution, Platform, Enterprise, Domain, or Cloud Architect.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
• Experience developing architecture roadmaps, target-state architectures, governance frameworks, and architecture models using TOGAF or similar methodologies.
• Deep expertise with Atlassian Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, SonarQube, and JFrog Artifactory.
• Experience with CI/CD architecture, repository governance, artifact management, Kubernetes, AKS, GitOps, Argo CD, Helm, Terraform, and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, or Application Insights.
• Experience working with infrastructure, cloud, and security teams in enterprise-scale Agile and SAFe environments.
