Senior Simulation Tools Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Must be based in San Carlos, CA (On-site)

Salary: $190,000 – $280,000 + Equity

What you will do

• Design and build scalable tooling to enable robotics engineers to create, manage, and test simulation environments.
• Improve end-to-end simulation content pipelines, including asset ingestion, versioning, and deployment workflows.
• Integrate simulators into automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for continuous behavior validation.
• Develop internal tools to enhance developer productivity, reliability, and engineering velocity.
• Establish scalable platform architecture and engineering best practices for the simulation ecosystem.

Requirements

• Must be able to work on-site in San Carlos, CA.
• 6+ years of professional experience in game engine tooling, simulation platforms, or large-scale content pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in C++, C#, or Python.
• Experience developing tools within Unreal Engine, Unity, or proprietary game engines.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, or deployment systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience building simulation platforms for robotics or digital twins.
• Background as a Technical Artist, Tools Engineer, or Engine Programmer.
• Familiarity with ROS/ROS2, Isaac Sim, Gazebo, or MuJoCo.
