Data Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

Salary: $224,000 – $264,000

What you will do

• Build and maintain facilities data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and telemetry serving.
• Develop reliable connectors for industrial protocols including BACnet, Modbus, OPC UA, and vendor APIs.
• Own data quality, including validation, gap detection, and backfill tooling.
• Provide clean APIs and datasets for dashboards, controls, and ML applications.
• Debug issues across the entire stack, from physical sensors to database queries.

Requirements

• Experience shipping and maintaining production data pipelines.
• Proven ability to integrate with industrial protocols or complex vendor APIs.
• Strong focus on data correctness, latency management, and gap detection.
• Ability to debug across the full stack.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with time-series systems.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with industrial/IoT data and Grafana ecosystems.
