Staff UX Software Engineer

Location: Colombia — Remote

hirify.global develops software supply chain management and DevSecOps products, including Nexus Repository and tools for securing open-source software.

What you will do

• Develop a deep understanding of the multi-product developer platform, user personas, and core Jobs To Be Done.
• Co-create user flows, experience direction, conceptual designs, and UX architectures with product managers and engineers.
• Map complex information architecture, developer workflows, permissions models, and multi-product interactions into clear experience patterns.
• Create user, product, and system flow diagrams reflecting technical constraints and team input.
• Build high-fidelity coded UX prototypes using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, VS Code, GitHub workflows, and AI coding tools.
• Conduct lightweight research and validation, provide UX guidance, and coach engineers on usability, accessibility, and interaction patterns.

Requirements

• Significant experience designing enterprise software or developer platforms, typically 10–15+ years.
• Experience collaborating deeply with engineers; a hybrid UX and engineering background is advantageous.
• Practical experience with interviews, surveys, usability testing, or UAT, with sound judgment about when research is needed.
• Comfort building working UX prototypes with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, GitHub, version control, and IDE-based AI coding tools.
• Strong UX judgment in complex technical domains, ability to simplify within real constraints, and clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluency in written and verbal English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience expanding code-based prototyping skills and using AI for structure, exploration, prototyping, and iteration.
• Experience working with design systems and existing user flows.
