Senior ERP Business Analyst - Distribution (ERP)

Location: Reston, Virginia, USA; primarily available during the Eastern Time Zone.

Salary: $135,000–$150,000 annually, with potential additional bonus and stock depending on role and performance.

hirify.global develops cloud ERP solutions for small and midsized businesses. The role joins the Vertrax Energy product team, which provides ERP and logistics software for fuel, propane, and lubricant operations.

What you will do

• Lead discovery and analysis of complex business scenarios, customer needs, and product requirements.
• Design features and enhancements through functional specifications, current- and future-state workflows, process flows, wireframes, and acceptance criteria.
• Assess business impact, dependencies, backward compatibility, data risks, and integration risks while negotiating scope and priorities.
• Translate approved initiatives into technical user stories and development tasks, maintaining traceability through delivery.
• Document data flows and integration requirements with dispatch, delivery, inventory, tank monitoring, CRM, and other operational systems.
• Develop test plans, support acceptance testing and UAT, and lead functional readiness for releases, deployments, training, and post-go-live support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Analysis, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience in business or system analysis, ERP functional consulting, or product analysis, including complex cross-functional initiatives.
• 4+ years of experience in distribution domains such as supply chain, sales, purchasing, warehousing, inventory management, or e-commerce.
• Experience managing requirements from discovery through design, development, testing, and release, including user stories, workflows, mockups, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills in English.
• Ability to work primarily in the Eastern Time Zone and manage multiple high-priority initiatives independently.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing, configuring, supporting, or extending hirify.global or another modern cloud ERP platform.
• Knowledge of fuel distribution, logistics, downstream energy operations, or related workflows.
• Experience with ERP integrations, APIs, REST, SOAP, SQL, JSON, or XML.
• Familiarity with financial workflows, fuel pricing, freight management, excise tax, reporting, or multi-entity operations.
• Experience with Agile product development and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or wireframing platforms.
