Electrical Engineer II (Hardware)

Location: Cambridge, United Kingdom; hybrid with 3 days onsite

What you will do

• Contribute to the development of high-quality hardware security modules.
• Perform hardware implementation, prototyping, integration, and validation activities.
• Regularly prototype and demonstrate hardware platforms during system demos.
• Maintain detailed design documentation, test reports, and bills of materials.
• Work within an Agile product development framework and collaborate with engineering stakeholders.
• Plan work collaboratively and develop ownership of design areas with mentoring from experienced engineers.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering or a related technical subject.
• Understanding of digital and analogue electronics in product design, ideally involving high-speed embedded systems.
• Knowledge of microcontroller development and efficient low-power design techniques.
• Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop practical, reasoned solutions.
• Experience with professional ECAD systems, ideally Altium.
• Some professional experience and an interest in electronics, hardware design, or security engineering.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering or a related technical subject.
• Experience designing and implementing security products.
