Vice President, Sector Coverage - Transportation, Logistics, & Auto (Transportation Finance)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid work model with in-office and work-from-home flexibility

Salary: $185,000–$240,000 base salary per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Develop and manage client relationships in the Shipping, Intermodal Transportation, Rail, and Aviation sectors.
• Originate, structure, and execute corporate and structured financing, capital structuring, and M&A transactions.
• Coordinate with product specialists, country coverage bankers, and regional stakeholders to deliver multi-product solutions.
• Lead client pitches, presentations, onboarding, KYC, transaction execution, and portfolio monitoring.
• Direct deal teams, allocate resources, and support sector income, fee, cross-sell, ESG, and return objectives.
• Identify market opportunities and train and coach junior team members.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of relevant experience, ideally in the North American Transportation industry.
• Expertise in corporate and structured loan origination, with a focus on North American Shipping and Intermodal Transportation.
• Experience in corporate or investment banking deal structuring and execution.
• Strong credit skills and understanding of debt capital markets, financial markets, DCM, M&A advisory, and transaction services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Math.
• Series 79/63 certification, or commitment to obtain it within six months of joining.
