Payment Posting Supervisor (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $25.14–$31.44 per hour

What you will do

• Manage the daily schedule, workflow, and direction of payment posting staff.
• Coordinate daily and month-end balancing with members, managers, co-supervisors, direct reports, and affiliated departments.
• Post revenue-related accounts receivable cash receipts and denials accurately and on time.
• Audit posting work, balance batches, research discrepancies, and track payment trends.
• Convert payer-specific denial and payment codes into HIPAA-compliant reject codes.
• Supervise staff through performance management, training, hiring, placement, and disciplinary actions.

Requirements

• Three years of billing, collections, and/or payment posting experience in a healthcare environment.
• Two years of supervisory experience in a similar environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and medical billing systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Post-secondary education in accounting or finance.
• Strong delegation, collaboration, planning, mathematical, problem-solving, and deductive reasoning skills.

Nice to have

• Five years of billing, collections, and/or payment posting experience in a healthcare environment.
• Associate degree in accounting or business.
