What you will do

• Coordinate daily front-end hospital billing to ensure claims are accurately reviewed and submitted to insurance payers.
• Submit initial hospital claims using billing clearinghouses and payer systems.
• Resolve front-end claim edits related to diagnosis, procedure, charge codes, and payer requirements.
• Manage claim edit queues, DDE claims, rebills, and corrected claims.
• Maintain a high clean claim rate by adhering to payer billing guidelines.
• Collaborate with internal teams, hospitals, and payers to resolve submission issues.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Minimum 1 year of front-end hospital billing experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with billing clearinghouses and hospital claims management software.
• Working knowledge of institutional hospital claims and Medicare (DDE).
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• High-speed internet (min 300 Mbps) and a smartphone for MFA.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of MEDHOST or HMS software.
• Experience with UB04, 837I, and clearinghouses such as SSI, Availity, Waystar, Change Healthcare, TrueBridge, or Quadax.
• Strong understanding of medical terminology and revenue cycle operations.
