Healthcare Reclamation Analyst

Location: Remote anywhere in the US

What you will do

• Review client data, payer correspondence, eligibility documentation, and Explanation of Benefits to determine the proper order of benefits and resolve primacy issues.
• Research billing, claims, eligibility, appeals, payment, and recovery scenarios to achieve successful account resolution.
• Communicate with healthcare insurance carriers and providers about claims, Coordination of Benefits, eligibility, and payment issues.
• Educate carriers on Coordination of Benefits rules and respond to complex questions.
• Document contacts, demographic updates, account statuses, and resolution activity accurately in company systems.
• Meet assigned productivity and quality metrics while following client requirements, HIPAA, and applicable regulations.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of directly relevant experience in billing reclamation or a related role, including at least 12 months of collections or accounts receivable experience.
• Applied knowledge of healthcare, medical terminology, medical coding, Coordination of Benefits, Third-Party Liability, and Accounts Receivable.
• Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret Explanation of Benefits and resolve primacy and payment issues.
• Professional communication skills for working with providers, carriers, and other stakeholders.
• High school diploma or GED; relevant college coursework or certification is a plus.
• Must be able to work remotely from anywhere in the US, maintain high-speed internet, and provide a HIPAA-compliant workspace.
