Carpenter (Residential Construction)

Location: On-site in Gray, Maine, with work at client locations throughout Southern Maine

Salary: $28–$34 per hour, depending on experience

What you will do

• Perform residential carpentry work including framing, trim, cabinetry, flooring, siding, and general finish work.
• Understand project scopes and specifications and complete assigned tasks independently and efficiently.
• Take direction from lead carpenters and foremen while collaborating with apprentice carpenters.
• Guide apprentices with a focus on craftsmanship and safety.
• Follow local building codes and company quality standards.
• Identify and communicate job-site issues, material needs, and potential challenges.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• 3+ years of carpentry experience with demonstrated proficiency in carpentry techniques.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds and perform daily physical labor.
• Ability to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and maintain quality, efficiency, and safety.
