What you will do

• Underwrite new commercial credit requests and material loan modifications from initial deal screening through approval and the life of the loan.
• Manage ongoing credit risk through annual reviews, interim updates, covenant monitoring, problem-loan management, and early-warning indicators.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, due diligence reports, appraisals, industry research, peer data, and other credit information.
• Prepare cash-flow analyses, collateral schedules, covenant sensitivity calculations, financial models, guarantor analyses, and risk ratings.
• Partner with relationship managers, credit analysts, clients, and internal credit committees throughout transaction execution and portfolio management.
• Ensure compliance with commercial credit policies, regulatory standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field, plus 5 years of experience in commercial credit or comparable financial analysis; an alternative path requires 9 years of combined higher education and work experience, including 5 relevant years.
• Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling, credit metrics, ratio interpretation, and trend analysis.
• Emerging proficiency in legal documentation, structural analysis, and independently structuring transactions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, lead transaction execution teams, and build customer relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Experience with Capital IQ, FactSet, or Bloomberg.
