What you will do

• Underwrite new commercial credit requests and material modifications from deal screening through approval and throughout the life of the loan.
• Manage portfolio credit risk through annual reviews, interim updates, covenant monitoring, problem-loan management, early-warning indicators, and other surveillance activities.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, due diligence, credit bureau data, appraisals, industry research, and peer information.
• Prepare financial models, cash-flow analyses, collateral schedules, covenant sensitivity calculations, guarantor analyses, and risk ratings.
• Recommend transaction structures, terms, conditions, controls, collateral, guarantors, and risk mitigants.
• Partner with relationship managers, analysts, credit committees, clients, and prospects throughout the transaction and portfolio-management processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, plus five years of relevant commercial credit or financial analysis experience; an alternative combination requires at least nine years of higher education and work experience, including five relevant years.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, credit metrics, financial ratios, data analysis, and trend analysis.
• Emerging proficiency in legal-documentation review, structural analysis, and independently structuring transactions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, organization, accuracy, and time-management skills.
• Customer-focused interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Experience with Capital IQ, FactSet, or Bloomberg.
