Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

What you will do

• Engineer protection and control schemes for campus power, covering generation through distribution.
• Manage and verify relay settings, coordination studies, and configuration files.
• Design P&C architecture including relays, communications, and SCADA integration.
• Support field commissioning by testing functions and performing root-cause analysis on misoperations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in protection engineering, specifically relay settings and coordination for MV and HV systems.
• Hands-on experience developing settings for SEL or equivalent platforms.
• Experience commissioning protection schemes in the field.
• Ability to investigate relay operations and analyze event records.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with generator protection.
• Knowledge of IEC 61850 and communications-assisted schemes.
• Familiarity with NERC PRC standards and arc-flash mitigation schemes.
