Software Development Engineer - Security Automation (AWS Security)

Location: Courbevoie, France. Applicants must be nationals of an EU Member State.

What you will do

• Design and deliver features for AWS Security Epoxy services that deploy threat detection across the AWS account fleet.
• Build automation for risk remediation and foundational security operations, including communications, workflow orchestration, data enrichment, and secure access.
• Own operational excellence by adding instrumentation, alarms, monitoring, documentation, and runbooks.
• Improve system resiliency, scalability, safety, and maintainability at very high scale.
• Participate in a bounded team on-call rotation, resolve high-severity incidents, and implement permanent fixes.
• Contribute through code and design reviews, operational readiness reviews, post-incident analyses, and mentoring.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling.
• Professional programming experience with Java, Python, or TypeScript.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Nationality of an EU Member State is required.
• Experience with the software development lifecycle, testing, operations, scalable production systems, and operational ownership.

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and AWS cloud technologies.
• Experience quickly prototyping systems and solutions.
• Familiarity with security automation, threat detection, or incident response tooling.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
