Senior SecOps Engineer (AWS)

What you will do

• Design and implement defense-in-depth infrastructure and application security solutions in AWS public cloud environments.
• Configure and automate native and third-party cloud security solutions for hardening, detection, prevention, logging, and response.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, DevOps, CloudOps, and IT on DevSecOps and shift-left security strategies.
• Secure firewalls, ACLs, WAFs, IAM roles and permissions, Kubernetes containers, endpoints, and cloud-native services.
• Assist with security incident response and triage activities.
• Use AI in security operations to streamline and optimize security incident management and resolution.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience deploying and administering security infrastructure in AWS public cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience securing AWS or GCP IaaS platforms, including WAFs, security groups, compute, Kubernetes, container registries, storage, databases, logging, and monitoring.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD tools, and collaboration with Product, DevOps, and CloudOps Site Reliability Engineers.
• Cloud-native security experience in areas such as authentication, access management, API security, Linux security, vulnerability scanning, threat detection, firewalls, encryption, or container security.
• Experience with a programming language such as Python for automation is beneficial.
• Security certifications such as AWS or GCP certifications, CISSP, CEH, or OSCP are preferred.
