Critical Facilities Operations Specialist

Location: On-site in Lubbock, Texas or Barber Lake, Texas

Salary: $140,000–$200,000 base annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Serve as the on-site subject-matter expert for data-center critical infrastructure across white space and supporting facilities.
• Manage site design limitations, operational risks, and escalations involving critical infrastructure.
• Own change management for high-risk maintenance activities.
• Act as the on-site first responder during incidents and drive resolution with engineering and infrastructure specialists.
• Audit colocation partners and service providers, evaluate maintenance programs, and improve site reliability.
• Partner with vendors, colocation providers, and internal teams to feed operational learnings into design and processes.

Requirements

• Experience operating or leading critical-facilities operations in a live data center.
• Strong knowledge of critical infrastructure, including power and cooling systems.
• Experience managing high-risk maintenance changes and enforcing maintenance standards with partners.
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively to critical incidents and equipment failures.
• Experience auditing, documenting, and improving operational practices.

Nice to have

• Hyperscale or colocation operations experience.
• Familiarity with Uptime Institute or NFPA standards.
• Experience in critical environments and with MOP/EOP procedures.
• Vendor and colocation management experience.
