Director of Facilities Operations (AI Infrastructure)

Location: On-site in San Francisco, California or Dallas, Texas, United States

Salary: $200,000–$235,000 per year plus bonus and restricted stock units

What you will do

• Develop and execute a multi-year facilities roadmap for data center expansion and manufacturing scale-up.
• Manage a geographically distributed portfolio of hyperscale campuses, manufacturing facilities, and corporate offices.
• Set reliability, uptime, maintenance, and service-level standards for critical facilities systems.
• Oversee power distribution, medium- and high-voltage systems, UPS, generators, HVAC, chillers, liquid cooling, fire suppression, and building management systems.
• Build and lead facilities teams, establish 24/7 on-call and escalation procedures, and manage vendors and contractors.
• Own OpEx and CapEx budgets, lead major project RFPs, and oversee execution against scope, schedule, and budget.

Requirements

• 10+ years of facilities management experience, including at least 5 years leading operations in mission-critical environments.
• Deep knowledge of critical power, cooling, and fire/life-safety infrastructure.
• Experience managing multi-site portfolios across multiple geographies.
• Proven ability to build and lead high-accountability facilities teams.
• Experience owning OpEx and CapEx budgets of $10M or more.
• Strong communication skills for working with engineers, executives, field technicians, and external partners.

Nice to have

• Hyperscale or colocation data center operations experience.
• Experience with natural gas generation, battery storage, or renewable energy systems.
• Manufacturing or industrial facilities operations experience.
• CFM, CDCDP, or equivalent certification.
• Experience supporting rapid organizational scaling from Series C through IPO.
