Sr Mortgage Loan Processor

Location: Remote for residents of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Arizona, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, or Virginia. Washington-based employees within reasonable driving distance of the Tukwila headquarters are encouraged to work onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays; other approved remote locations are primarily remote.

Salary: $31.92–$38.85 per hour target pay range; full pay range $24.76–$46.06 per hour.

What you will do

• Process conventional, FHA, VA, Jumbo, and hirify.global portfolio mortgage loans accurately and efficiently.
• Review Automated Underwriting System findings, verify loan data, and resolve approval conditions and documentation issues.
• Complete BKI reviews, changes of circumstance, and Early Closing Disclosures in accordance with TRID requirements.
• Manage lock-in expirations, closing timelines, pipeline data, appraisals, occupancy, and state status.
• Evaluate income, assets, credit reports, title documents, flood certifications, and other property documentation.
• Communicate processing requirements and underwriting decisions with members, Loan Officers, underwriters, and outside sources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work or education-related experience.
• At least two years of experience as a mortgage loan processor, underwriter, or equivalent, with conventional, FHA, VA, and Jumbo loan products.
• Proficient math, organizational, verbal, written, PC, and mortgage software skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple loans within stringent time constraints and adapt to changing mortgage, market, regulatory, and technology requirements.
• Full-time availability, with additional hours as necessary.
• Compliance with SAFE Act requirements, including annual Mortgage Loan Originator registration.

Nice to have

• Completion of FHA CHUM’s and VA LAPP and SARR seminars or equivalent training.
• Courses or seminars in mortgage banking processing and underwriting.
