Senior Buyer (Quantum Computing)

Base pay range: $89,000–$134,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Manage end-to-end procurement for assigned commodities, components, equipment, and services.
• Develop sourcing strategies and lead RFQs, RFPs, supplier evaluations, bid analysis, and commercial negotiations.
• Identify, qualify, and develop suppliers, including expanding the U.S. supplier network.
• Monitor supplier performance and mitigate risks involving shortages, capacity constraints, quality, delivery, and long lead times.
• Partner with Engineering and Production on prototypes, NPI, production requirements, engineering changes, and urgent material needs.
• Manage purchase orders, ERP supplier data, supplier commitments, material availability, and procurement process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 5–8+ years of procurement, purchasing, or strategic sourcing experience, preferably in high-tech, electronics, semiconductor, scientific instrumentation, or complex manufacturing environments.
• Experience sourcing technical components, mechanical or electrical assemblies, electronics, capital equipment, or specialized manufacturing services.
• Experience supporting Engineering, NPI, prototype builds, and production environments, including interpreting BOMs, drawings, specifications, and engineering requirements.
• Strong negotiation, commercial decision-making, analytical, organizational, communication, and supplier relationship-management skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems and strong Microsoft Excel and data-analysis skills; NetSuite experience is an asset.
