Senior Software Developer (DevSecOps)

Location: Hybrid in Chantilly, Virginia, with mostly remote work and occasional visits to customer or corporate locations in Washington, DC and Northern Virginia. Applicants must reside within commuting distance or explain how they would satisfy onsite requirements.

What you will do

• Architect, design, and develop secure enterprise applications for investigative workflows.
• Implement audit logging, privileged-access controls, and federal security requirements.
• Lead development activities, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical guidance.
• Diagnose complex issues and optimize software performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Contribute to documentation, design reviews, and code-quality standards.
• Support cloud deployments and DevSecOps pipelines aligned with government requirements.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of enterprise-software development experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proficiency in modern programming languages and secure-coding methodologies.
• Experience with government environments requiring audit compliance, CJIS standards, or privileged-access controls.
• Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud services and FedRAMP-aligned platforms.
• Eligibility for a Secret clearance and DHS Entry on Duty suitability are required to begin support; successful Secret clearance processing is required after EOD approval.

Nice to have

• Security+ or equivalent baseline certification.
• AWS or Azure professional certification.
• Agile/Scrum certification.
• Experience with containers, microservices, or distributed systems.
• Active DHS EOD suitability or an active DHS Secret-or-higher clearance.
