Cost Engineer (AI Infrastructure)

Location: On-site in Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA

Salary: $186,000 – $220,000

What you will do

• Own the Bill of Materials (BOM) for modular designs from concept through release.
• Build and maintain an estimating engine to quote units rapidly and accurately.
• Ensure design and BOMs remain in lockstep through rigorous revision reconciliation.
• Provide procurement and finance teams with accurate quantities and cost data for budgeting.
• Automate takeoff and rollup processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements

• Experience building and managing engineering BOMs for complex products or construction.
• Proven ability to perform rigorous cost estimation at high speed.
• Strong data structuring skills with a focus on parent-child relationships and effectivity.
• Relentless reconciliation skills across CAD, ERP, and physical reality.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with PLM and ERP systems.
• Background in steel and MEP takeoff.
• Familiarity with cost engineering methods and data center equipment.
