TL;DR
Software Developer (Federal Law Enforcement) (Secure Applications/DevSecOps): Developing and maintaining case-tracking systems, evidence-processing tools, and investigative-support platforms with an accent on secure coding, software testing, and government-compliant workflows. Focus on building reliable features, troubleshooting integrations, and supporting DevSecOps pipelines for mission-critical applications.

Location: Hybrid in Chantilly, Virginia; work is mostly remote with occasional visits to customer or corporate locations in Washington, DC and Northern Virginia. Applicants must currently live within commuting distance or explain how they will satisfy onsite requirements.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain application features under the guidance of senior developers.
  • Assist with software requirements, design, testing, maintenance, and system integration.
  • Use modern programming tools, version control, secure-coding practices, and DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Debug issues, document solutions, and support sprint activities.
  • Build reliable software for case tracking, evidence processing, and investigative support.

Requirements

  • Software-development experience with knowledge of commonly used concepts and practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with software-engineering fundamentals, secure coding, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for a Secret clearance and obtain DHS Entry on Duty suitability before beginning support.

Nice to have

  • Security+ or equivalent baseline certification.
  • AWS or Azure professional certifications.
  • Agile/Scrum certifications.
  • Experience with containers, microservices, or distributed systems.
  • Active DHS EOD suitability or an active DHS Secret-or-higher clearance.
