Onsite Service Engineer - NY Edwards (Vacuum Systems)

What you will do

• Inspect, service, troubleshoot, and repair technical systems during planned and ad hoc customer visits.
• Diagnose issues and help prevent equipment downtime.
• Perform installations, ensure safety compliance, and document service activities.
• Act as the onsite customer contact, provide service recommendations, and address customer needs.
• Share technical expertise and coach less experienced team members while supporting site objectives.

Requirements

• High school diploma; an associate degree is preferred, with equivalent military experience accepted.
• 1–3 years of experience in a relevant technical field such as electronics, mechanics, chemicals, gas, refrigeration, or basic vacuum systems.
• Strong customer focus, self-direction, problem-solving ability, and collaboration skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English, with clear speech and the ability to see and hear clearly.
• Ability to use computer software for data recording and report writing.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, including technical drawings, and comply with applicable safety and legal standards.
