Operational Excellence and PMO Leader (Manufacturing): Driving Lean Six Sigma initiatives and structured project management across a large chemical manufacturing site with an accent on process improvement, SQDIP performance, and Manufacturing 4.0 transformation. Focus on deploying Kaizen, VSM, RCA, standard work, and visual management while governing CAPEX and OPEX portfolios and coaching operational leaders.
Location: Suffolk, Virginia, United States; onsite at a large chemical manufacturing facility. The role includes occasional travel for meetings and cross-site training or assistance.
Salary: $107,500–$157,663 per year, plus discretionary bonuses.

What you will do
- Deploy the site Lean Six Sigma roadmap using VSM, Kaizen, root-cause analysis, standard work, 5S, SMED, TPM, and visual management.
- Drive continuous improvement in throughput, waste elimination, quality, cost savings, and SQDIP performance.
- Coach Operations Managers and production teams in problem-solving discipline and continuous improvement capabilities.
- Lead the PMO across CAPEX and OPEX projects using charters, governance cadences, KPIs, and RACI structures.
- Coordinate cross-functional project portfolios with engineering, maintenance, quality, and supply chain.
- Support Manufacturing 4.0 digital transformation and facilitate daily, weekly, and monthly performance reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Operations, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in manufacturing, operations, continuous improvement, or project management.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred; Green Belt accepted with progress toward Black Belt.
- Experience leading Kaizens and structured problem-solving initiatives.
- Strong communication, facilitation, data-driven decision-making, and influencing skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Suffolk, Virginia, including movement through multiple plant levels and possible use of stairs or ladders; PPE may be required.
