Application Engineer III (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Arvada, Colorado, United States; on-site

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 per year, plus restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Define electrical scopes of work with customers and estimating partners and convert requirements into technical specifications.
• Prepare cost estimates, technical proposals, and preliminary electrical design deliverables.
• Create one-line diagrams, preliminary control schematics, bills of materials, and project handoff documentation.
• Review vendor bid packages and submittals for technical accuracy and cost effectiveness.
• Specify and size electrical components in accordance with applicable codes and project requirements.
• Coordinate the transition from estimating and proposals to design engineering with project management and manufacturing teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing, construction, or project environments, including at least 1 year in applications, project estimating, or technical sales.
• Knowledge of low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems, control panels, and related equipment.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings; proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD software.
• Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and relevant industry standards.
• On-site work in Arvada, Colorado, and participation in a required drug and alcohol program due to the safety-sensitive designation.

Nice to have

• Experience with modular building construction, industrial controls, and automation systems.
• Familiarity with UL standards and experience with QA/QC, Factory Acceptance Testing, and technical documentation.
