Software Engineer, Global Banking & Markets, AI/ML Technology (AI)

Salary: $115,000–$180,000 annually, plus potential discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate high-availability, multi-region cloud-native services with security and observability integrated throughout.
• Develop event-driven architectures, multi-stage processing pipelines, and optimized data paths for high-throughput trade lifecycle management.
• Architect and implement production-grade AI solutions integrated with Java-based microservices.
• Orchestrate AI coding agents across the software development lifecycle while assessing generated code and maintaining production quality.
• Partner with engineers, domain experts, and global stakeholders to digitize business processes and drive modernization.
• Manage software components from requirements analysis through design, development, testing, and release.

Requirements

• 2+ years of professional software development experience with Java, including concurrency, collections, and modern language features.
• Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools and governing, reviewing, and validating AI-generated work.
• Experience building event-driven and distributed systems, including messaging platforms such as Apache Kafka.
• Strong SDLC practices, including version control, CI/CD, automated build and deployment workflows, and code quality tooling.
• Experience with unit, integration, and acceptance testing, plus the ability to debug large and unfamiliar codebases.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Spring Boot, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, Apache Camel, Spring Integration, or related integration and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with GCP or AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and JVM tuning.
• Observability, production support, data modeling, SQL/NoSQL databases, caching, and performance optimization.
• Enterprise security patterns, authentication protocols, mutual TLS, secrets management, and certificate rotation.
• Equities, post-trade, financial services, trade lifecycle, asset servicing, or position management experience.
