Buyer/Planner (Medical Devices)

Location: On-site in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, United States; applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance. The role does not offer relocation.

Annual salary: $82,000–$95,000.

hirify.global develops medical devices, software, and related services for diagnosing and treating serious cardiopulmonary and respiratory conditions, including AEDs, trauma kits, ventilators, and temperature management solutions.

What you will do

• Review purchase requisitions and place purchase orders for assigned parts, components, assemblies, materials, and services.
• Plan inventory and safety stock using demand planning tools, MRP data, cost, lead time, engineering changes, and item complexity.
• Forecast future demand with the Demand Planner and publish supplier forecasts to prevent production delays.
• Monitor supplier pricing, quality, delivery commitments, shortages, and production impacts.
• Collaborate with suppliers, Commodity Management, Engineering, and Supplier Quality Engineering on cost reduction, schedule adherence, engineering changes, and quality initiatives.
• Manage vendor returns, inventory tracking, documentation, supplier reviews, and audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business or 3–6 years of Procurement/Supply Chain experience; 2–4 years of relevant experience is preferred with a degree.
• Experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment such as medical, aerospace, or nuclear is preferred.
• Proficiency with MRP systems and ERP systems; Oracle experience is preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, organization, prioritization, follow-up, and supplier relationship skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, plus the ability to read and interpret AutoCAD drawings.
• Must be able to work on-site in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, and must not require immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

• APICS CPIM certification.
