Customer Solutions Engineer II (Data Infrastructure)

Location: Remote, Colorado, United States; based out of the AMER-East region.

Salary: $111,714–$134,062 USD annually

What you will do

• Support customers through tickets, email, and video, handling both straightforward questions and complex technical issues.
• Develop broad technical expertise across dbt Core and the dbt platform.
• Own customer issues from initial troubleshooting through resolution.
• Create and improve technically accurate, accessible documentation and how-to guides.
• Collaborate with peers, engineering, and stakeholders across time zones to deliver high-quality support.
• Use conversational AI tools to research, author, review, and synthesize support and enablement content.

Requirements

• Expertise with coding languages, SQL, APIs, and understanding network requests.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated ability to solve problems for customers.
• Experience in a technical, client-facing role such as engineering support or customer success, preferably in a SaaS environment.
• Experience creating technical documentation using text, images, or video.
• Ability to use conversational AI systems such as Claude, ChatGPT, or internal chatbots for support content.
• Must be based in Colorado, United States, for this remote role.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with YAML or JSON.
• Experience with Datadog or LogicMonitor.
• Knowledge of ETL, data warehousing, and modern data stack concepts.
• Practical experience with dbt.
