Senior Director, Head of Application Engineering and Productionization (AI)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid, with onsite work required 2 to 3 days per week.

Annual base salary: $230,900–$384,800, plus a 25% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Define application engineering and productionization strategy, governance, architecture standards, and reusable engineering patterns for AI and digital products.
• Oversee front-end and full-stack application development, enterprise integrations, APIs, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Guide the deployment, versioning, monitoring, and productionization of AI/ML models.
• Establish standards for uptime, latency, reliability, security, automated testing, logging, observability, and incident response.
• Build and lead an engineering organization of approximately 30 employees and hundreds of contractors across front-end, full-stack, DevOps, and architecture disciplines.
• Partner with product, data, platform, and operations leaders to align technical decisions with governance, compliance, adoption, and business outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a master’s degree is strongly preferred.
• 12+ years of relevant professional experience and proven people-leadership experience.
• Experience building and developing high-performing engineering teams and managing complex staffing and resource-allocation models.
• Experience in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, banking, or insurance.
• Strong expertise in enterprise architecture, application engineering, program and operations management, quality standards, and cross-functional integration.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
