What you will do

• Manage branch operations, profitability, sales, business development, transactions, servicing, and customer experience.
• Lead, coach, develop, and manage branch staff, including hiring, performance reviews, promotions, and terminations.
• Identify customer needs and grow Retail and Business Banking relationships through proactive outreach and community engagement.
• Resolve complex account servicing and error-resolution issues while taking ownership through final resolution.
• Process Business Banking loan requests up to $250,000 and bundle products and services where appropriate.
• Maintain compliance, security, fraud-prevention, audit, regulatory, and internal control standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least three years of sales experience and two years of managerial experience or proven leadership ability.
• Strong knowledge of Business Banking products, services, and client relationship management.
• M&T Way Certification and Precision Leadership Certification.
• Ability to use common PC software, including Microsoft Office, word processing, and spreadsheets.
• Business Banking Specialist qualification within 18 months of hire; Life, Accident, and Health Insurance licensing may be required within 18 months, with training provided within six months.

Nice to have

• Spanish bilingual communication skills.

• Sales or business development success, financial services product knowledge, and strong customer-service coaching ability.
