Assistant Branch Manager (Electrical Distribution)

What you will do

• Support the branch manager in achieving profitability and overall business results.
• Manage daily branch operations, including sales, customer service, inventory, warehouse housekeeping, and facility maintenance.
• Develop, train, supervise, and schedule branch associates.
• Handle customer requests, maintain key customer relationships, and support product selection and delivery.
• Implement safety, security, compliance, inventory control, and asset inspection procedures.
• Act as branch manager during the manager’s absence and make deliveries when required.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of related experience.
• High school diploma or GED required; a four-year degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse operations.
• Leadership, coaching, customer service, negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and an ERP system such as Solar Eclipse.
• For delivery duties: valid driver’s license, minimum age of 21, compliant motor vehicle record, and required medical certification.

Nice to have

• Previous sales, operations, electrical distribution, or similar B2B experience.
• Leadership experience and ability to manage P&Ls.
• Certification to operate forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
• Bachelor’s degree.
