LQA Tester

Location: On-site in Madrid, Community of Madrid, Spain. The role requires the right to work in Spain and office attendance.

What you will do

• Test video games for linguistic accuracy, natural phrasing, cultural appropriateness, and overall localization quality.
• Identify, document, and track linguistic issues using professional bug databases.
• Verify fixes and manage the full testing cycle across indie and AAA game projects.
• Write and refine test cases, document findings, and contribute to LQA best practices.
• Collaborate with testers, translators, developers, and project stakeholders to improve game localization.
• Optimize workflows, share knowledge, and identify more efficient testing approaches.

Requirements

• Traditional Chinese, proficient Japanese, and confident written and spoken English are required.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain quality while working quickly and under pressure.
• Passion for video games and interest in how games sound, look, and feel.
• Comfort using databases, spreadsheets, testing tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Existing right to work in Spain is required.
• Availability to work on-site in the Madrid office is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading.
• Familiarity with translation systems, test case management tools, or text editing platforms.
• Knowledge of gaming trends and gaming culture.
• Degree in linguistics or a related field.
