Software Development Engineer in Test III (Java/Selenium): Designing and delivering scalable automation test frameworks for next-generation vehicle software platforms covering computer vision, machine learning, sensor fusion, workflows, reporting, and vehicle event analysis, with an accent on functional, data, performance, and reliability testing. Focus on building CI/CD-integrated test environments, validating N-Tier services and data platforms, analyzing data health and defects, and improving platform testability.

What you will do
- Design, develop, document, maintain, and scale automation tools, test cases, and frameworks for current and next-generation software platforms.
- Plan, write, execute, and automate functional and data validation test plans from requirements and system designs.
- Build quality, performance, and reliability into applications and data models from the beginning of development.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Software Engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure teams on releases, TDD, CI/CD, and QA environments.
- Lead technical execution within Agile Scrum teams and communicate test strategies, results, risks, and framework capabilities.
- Manage defects, review unit tests, diagnose issues, and analyze data health, consistency, and root causes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or 4–5 years of technical experience as an SDET or in a similar role.
- At least 2 years of professional experience with an object-oriented programming language.
- Professional experience developing and testing in Java.
- Experience developing automated tests with Selenium libraries.
- Experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and scaling extensible, maintainable, high-performance test automation frameworks.
- Experience with the full development lifecycle, end-to-end test strategies, Agile practices, source control, code reviews, and troubleshooting.
Nice to have
- Experience integrating software test automation into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, or Linux.
- Experience with microservice architecture and backend or API testing.
