Software Development Engineer in Test II (Java/Selenium)

What you will do

• Design, develop, document, and maintain test tools, test cases, and automation frameworks for current and next-generation software platforms.
• Plan, write, execute, and automate functional and data validation test plans from requirements and system designs.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Software Engineering, DevOps, and infrastructure teams on release planning, CI/CD environments, and test-driven development practices.
• Influence platform, application, and data-model design to improve testability, quality, performance, and reliability.
• Lead technical execution within Agile Scrum teams, including effort estimation, documentation, communication, and delivery planning.
• Manage defects, support unit-test reviews and issue resolution, and analyze data health, consistency, and root causes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or at least two years of technical experience as an SDET or in a similar role.
• At least one year of professional experience with an object-oriented programming language, including Java development and testing.
• Experience with Selenium libraries and end-to-end test strategy development and implementation.
• Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, reviews, source control, building, and testing.
• Understanding of Agile development, strong communication skills, and effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Proactive problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating software test automation into CI/CD processes using Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, or Linux.
• Experience with microservice architectures and backend API testing.
• Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tools.
