QA Technician (Optics)

Location: Boulder, Colorado, United States; onsite at the manufacturing facility

Salary: $21.00–$29.00 per hour, depending on experience

What you will do

• Perform optical fabrication processes including beveling, milling, blocking, grinding, polishing, curve generation, and inspection.
• Conduct measurements and inspections of complex optics and optical assemblies using non-traditional methods and equipment.
• Complete First Article Inspections with minimal assistance.
• Identify process improvements involving handling, measurement, storage, and inspection activities.
• Support Process Engineering through Tests of the Day and data collection for inspection and metrology validation.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to Level I QA Technicians and Manufacturing Technicians.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• 5+ years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of moderate to complex mathematical calculations is advantageous.
• Experience with optical inspection, measurements, or fabrication processes.
• Work is based at the Boulder, Colorado facility.
• Visa sponsorship is not available.

• Associate degree.
