Quality Control Technician

TL;DR

Quality Control Technician (Cable Manufacturing): Electrical testing of wire, components, cable, and assemblies in various production stages and finished products with an accent on using high-potential AC and DC test equipment, electrical bridges, meters, and fiber optic test sets. Focus on performing all aspects of testing and final inspection while maintaining a safe and orderly test area.

Location: Taunton, MA (onsite at manufacturing plant, 2nd or 3rd shift)

Pay Range: $24.65 to $29.36 hourly (performance-based, shift premiums: $1.50/hr 2nd shift, $2.25/hr 3rd shift)

What you will do

• Conduct electrical testing using high-potential AC and DC equipment on wire, components, cables, and assemblies.
• Operate electrical bridges, meters, and fiber optic test sets.
• Perform all aspects of testing and final inspection.
• Maintain a safe and orderly test area.
• Train on 1st shift initially.

Requirements

• Solid, stable work history; manufacturing experience preferred
• Awareness of safety procedures and ability to maintain safe work environment
• Electrical background preferred (vocational, military, or equivalent)
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English
• Willingness to work in a team and participate in safety, quality, and production improvements
• Willingness to work overtime including weekends as needed; ability to lift 75–100 lbs
