Location: Remote-based in the US
Annual salary: $100,000β$120,000, commensurate with experience

What you will do
- Develop and lead original applied research from question and hypothesis development through study design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, and communication.
- Design and analyze randomized controlled trials, field and survey experiments, quasi-experimental studies, longitudinal research, and other causal studies.
- Integrate quantitative and qualitative methods, including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and open-ended data analysis.
- Develop measures of attitudes, behavior, engagement, and program impact to guide program refinement, scaling, or discontinuation.
- Collaborate with program, organizing, communications, advocacy, civic engagement, digital, academic, community, polling, and vendor partners.
- Present findings and recommendations to staff, funders, partners, policymakers, and technical and nontechnical audiences.
Requirements
- PhD in psychology, political science, sociology, communication, behavioral science, public policy, evaluation, or a related social science field, or equivalent advanced research training and experience.
- Ability to work as an independent scientist, develop original research questions, design studies, evaluate evidence, and draw well-supported conclusions.
- Strong experience in applied social or behavioral research, including randomized controlled trials, field or survey experiments, and experimental or quasi-experimental designs.
- Strong quantitative research, statistical analysis, research design, and causal inference skills.
- Experience with qualitative or mixed-methods research and proficiency with R, Python, Stata, SAS, SPSS, or similar tools.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to translate complex research findings for technical and nontechnical audiences.
Nice to have
- Three or more years of research experience after completing a doctoral degree.
- Experience in one or more relevant decarbonization issue areas.
