Fire Protection Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Own fire protection engineering for assigned sites, including design review and field support.
• Review sprinkler, detection, and special hazard designs against code and reference designs.
• Support field installation and acceptance testing through AHJ sign-off.
• Answer fire protection RFIs and route code questions to defensible answers.
• Coordinate with AHJ to ensure compliance and project velocity.

Requirements

• Must be based in Austin, TX; New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; or Seattle, WA.
• Experience in fire protection engineering for commercial or industrial projects.
• Ability to review hydraulic calculations and detection layouts to catch errors.
• Experience running acceptance tests with the AHJ present.
• Strong research skills for code questions using primary sources.

Nice to have

• FPE degree or PE track.
• NICET certifications.
• Experience with special hazard systems.
• Data center experience.
