SQL Developer DBA5 (SQL Server)

Location: Onsite in Des Moines, Iowa, United States. In-person interview required.

What you will do

• Develop and optimize transactional systems using a SQL Server backend and .NET/C# front-end integration.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to troubleshoot system problem reports and implement enhancement requests for the KinderTrack system.
• Propose, design, and develop database solutions with business requirements in mind.
• Perform system testing and support business users during acceptance testing.
• Follow standard practices for migrating changes to test and production environments and provide post-production support.
• Perform database performance tuning when not handling enhancements or problem reports.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience with SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012, and 2016, and T-SQL.
• Experience developing and optimizing complex stored procedures, user-defined functions, and triggers.
• Knowledge of database modeling and design.
• Experience applying SQL security and privacy best practices.
• Experience building ETL processes with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Experience working with large databases, .NET development teams, SDLC, and Agile practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
