Mortgage Loan Officer - Colorado Springs, CO

Location: Colorado Springs, CO; office workplace with a hybrid arrangement

Salary: $10.00–$11.54 per hour as a non-recoverable draw reconciled against earned incentive compensation

What you will do

• Develop and expand internal and external referral sources to grow the mortgage business.
• Advise clients on mortgage loan options and other financial products using consultative selling techniques.
• Provide customer service from approval through closing and work with loan origination sources to secure and verify underwriting information.
• Advise customers on completing loan applications and maintain client relationships.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of mortgage loan origination experience, preferably at a bank.
• NMLS license.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and PC and internet skills.
• Applicants must currently be authorized to work full time in the United States.

Nice to have

• Pipeline and book of business.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending, and portfolio mortgage programs.
• Knowledge of mortgage procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines.
• Ability to identify opportunities to cross-sell financial products and services.
