TL;DR
Senior Program Manager, Distribution Engineering (Energy): Leading complex distribution engineering programs from application through testing and closeout with an accent on regulatory compliance, resource coordination, cost forecasting, and cross-functional leadership. Focus on developing strategic plans for energy legislation compliance, analyzing project metrics and estimates, and supporting regulatory proceedings through interrogatories and witness testimony.

Location: Hybrid schedule in Hartford, CT; at least three days per week in the office, including Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Must be able to work up to five days in the office when required and travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire.

Annual salary: $141,080.00–$156,760.00, with potential incentive eligibility.

What you will do

  • Lead complex engineering programs through the full project lifecycle, from application through final testing and closeout.
  • Develop strategic and tactical plans supporting operational readiness and compliance with state and federal energy legislation.
  • Coordinate studies, resources, schedules, project costs, engineering estimates, and forecasting.
  • Track department goals, service-level metrics, project data, and performance reports.
  • Provide technical direction to employees and lead cross-functional company teams.
  • Support regulatory and legislative matters, including interrogatories and witness testimony.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Applied Science, Business, or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of directly related experience.
  • Knowledge of electric power system operations, utility regulation, and applicable governmental requirements.
  • Understanding of business financial principles and project cost management.
  • Ability to direct cross-process teams and develop technical solutions for concurrent complex projects.
  • Visa or immigration sponsorship is not available; applicants requiring sponsorship to start employment will not be considered.

Nice to have

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Engineering.
