TL;DR
Solution Architect (IT Architecture): Designing end-to-end technical solutions for banking domains and products with an accent on enterprise alignment, infrastructure strategy, and complex IT environments. Focus on guiding squads, resolving dependencies, slicing epics into features, and maintaining aligned architecture roadmaps and documentation.
Location: Madrid (Vía de los Poblados), hybrid work with agreed days at home and at the ING Madrid office

What you will do
- Design end-to-end technical solutions aligned with domain architecture, enterprise architecture, and IT strategy.
- Refine technical directions and dependencies in collaboration with enterprise and domain architects, squad members, and IT Chapter Leads.
- Guide squads in selecting solutions, prioritizing epics and features, and aligning delivery with tribe needs and IT strategy.
- Ensure implemented solutions follow architectural designs, standards, and defined domain horizons.
- Collaborate on tribe and asset roadmaps, resolve dependencies between squads, and support epic slicing and feature planning.
- Maintain IT landscape documentation and work with stakeholders across the organization.
Requirements
- Strategic understanding of banking objectives and IT priorities.
- Working experience as a software engineer, architect, or in a comparable technology-focused role.
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure and IT assets within the relevant tribe domain.
- Understanding of the technology strategy applied to tribe assets or products.
- Problem-solving skills to evaluate alternatives and balance competing requirements.
- Stakeholder management skills, clear communication, flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work with uncertainty.
