TL;DR
AI Solutions Architect (MCP/JS) (TypeScript/Node.js, AI orchestration): Building the engineering foundation for enterprise-wide MCP adoption through reusable libraries, SDKs, templates, and scalable integration architectures with an accent on distributed systems, APIs, authentication, context management, and versioning. Focus on designing MCP clients, servers, and tool invocation patterns, defining architecture standards across multiple engineering teams, and balancing strategic architecture leadership with hands-on platform engineering.

Location: Remote in Europe, Albania, Moldova, Poland, Portugal, Romania, or Spain

Work through hirify.global Software on a project for a fast-growing European FinTech company providing embedded financial infrastructure through scalable APIs.

What you will do

  • Design and implement MCP clients, servers, tools, resources, and integrations with backend services.
  • Define reference architectures and engineering standards for schemas, authentication, context handling, versioning, and MCP adoption.
  • Build reusable TypeScript and Node.js libraries, SDKs, templates, and starter projects.
  • Design conversation state, agent state, context management, and orchestration workflows.
  • Guide architecture choices across MCP, A2A communication, traditional APIs, and service-to-service integrations.
  • Lead cross-team technical alignment, review solution designs, mentor engineers, and support scalable, secure, operationally excellent platforms.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of production experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
  • 2+ years of experience in software architecture, backend platform engineering, or technical leadership.
  • Expertise in TypeScript and the Node.js ecosystem, with experience designing distributed systems, APIs, SDKs, frameworks, or developer platforms.
  • Practical experience with MCP clients, servers, tools, resources, and LLM tool invocation.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams and working with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
  • Upper-Intermediate English or higher; ability to work effectively in distributed teams.

Nice to have

  • Experience with A2A communication and agent orchestration platforms.
  • Background in AI/ML platform engineering.
  • Familiarity with FinTech products, payment systems, or embedded finance.
  • Experience with architectural governance and engineering standards at scale.
