Mortgage Loan Officer (Mortgage)

What you will do

• Develop residential mortgage business through internal and external referral sources.
• Build and maintain relationships with community members, clients, and loan origination sources.
• Evaluate customers’ credit potential and financial information to recommend appropriate mortgage products.
• Guide customers through loan applications and provide service from approval through closing.
• Coordinate with underwriting to secure and verify required information.
• Maintain current knowledge of lending policies, regulations, pricing, and products while identifying cross-selling opportunities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of mortgage loan origination experience, preferably in a bank.
• NMLS license.
• Knowledge of mortgage products, procedures, documentation, and underwriting guidelines.
• Effective written and verbal communication, organizational, multitasking, and PC/internet skills.
• Must currently be authorized to work full-time in the United States; immigration sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Existing mortgage pipeline and book of business.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with conventional, FHA/VA, construction lending, and portfolio programs.
